Sounds of Sage:
Recording Studio
At Sage we recognise the significant impact music has on a child in their early years. We are fortunate to have our own recording studio, ‘Sounds of Sage.’ In this space, children can learn to create and express themselves through the joy of music.
Research suggests that music is a powerful tool in supporting a child’s learning, development and brain function. With a range of benefits, music supports positive moods, emotional wellbeing, and self-regulation. Language and cognitive skills as well as gross motor skills are also promoted through musical activities.
Children’s bodies and minds are supported to work together as they experiment with moving their bodies to music. Music is one of the few activities that use both the logical and creative sides of the brain.
Sound of Sage will give children an opportunity to investigate with sounds and rhythm whilst crafting their own music. We have a variety of fun musical instruments to explore along with a range of props to promote movement and dancing.
Children will discover music from different countries and cultures and enjoy the experience of making music alongside their peers. Some experiences children will participate in at Sounds of Sage include musical games, singing, exploring instruments and creating songs, recording musical rhythms and listening to playback of music, and expressive dance and movement
“We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams. We are the movers and shakers of the world”
